Import Performance was created the old-fashioned way - with the hard work and tireless enthusiasm of partners John Elliason, Jimmy Elliason and Talin Germain - all lifelong mechanics with a common passion for import cars. Their talent, expertise and over 20 years experience in the auto industry combined to create one of the finest car care solutions in the area. Today, our team continues their vision of excellence from our initial detailed inspection to on-going service.

At Import Performance, we happily provide all levels of car care for European and Asian cars including routine service, preventative maintenance, and repair work minor to major. We also understand the value (both sentimental and actual) of your automobile. Exceptional customer service, quick and reliable repairs, and extremely competitive prices. Owner, Talin Germain, took extra time explain what needed to be repaired and exactly why it needed to be done. He also informed me of additional maintenance that would likely need to be done in the next six months, without pressuring me to make unnecessary repairs. Very professional

I spoke to Talin and he explained the work required in detail and quoted me the best price of all the places I called. Their shop is clean and well lit. Work was done as promised. Car was returned clean, on time, and in proper working order.

"Having turned a wrench many, many times (think clutch replacement, etc.), I know a good mechanic when I find one. I was really bummed that I hadn't found one in Wilmington. Had a GREAT team in Raleigh. [But] Talin is as good as it gets. He's definitely the most professional mechanic I've seen... his shop is immaculate.... there's plenty of room for him to work. His computer support systems for ordering parts etc., is great. He's perfectly happy to counsel you on making your own repairs. He has very fair pricing on parts, and he's not doing any funny business with his hours. I couldn't be happier, or give a higher rating to Talin!!!!!"
